Pranayama - The yogic art of breathing (prana means vital/life force, ayama means expansion of the dimensions), a technique to enhance the vital force. According to yogic texts, breathing is not just the exchanges of gases, but the movement of prana (consisting of prana, apana, samana, udana and vyana) or vital forces, the air one breaths is just a medium/ vehicle for the life forces.
The way one breathes, sets the life force vibrations, and these vibrations influence the entire being.
Regular practice of pranayama promotes heart – brain coherence and strengthens the nervous system.
Meditation - Training one’s awareness, not turning off thoughts or feelings, but to observe the stream of thoughts without any judgement, and eventually gain more insight into them. It is a skill and there are several techniques to develop this.
